Great getting to know new people and learning different things.\u201d<\/mark><\/em> <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>Another added,<\/em> <mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-ast-global-color-8-color\"><em>\u201cThe food was all made from scratch with ingredients I can find at food club or at home.<\/em><\/mark><\/strong><em><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-ast-global-color-8-color\">&#8220;<\/mark><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:26px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-uagb-image alignright uagb-block-4148993c wp-block-uagb-image--layout-default wp-block-uagb-image--effect-static wp-block-uagb-image--align-right\"><figure class=\"wp-block-uagb-image__figure\"><img decoding=\"async\" srcset=\"https:\/\/parrycharity.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/meal.png ,https:\/\/parrycharity.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/meal.png 780w, https:\/\/parrycharity.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/meal.png 360w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 480px) 150px\" src=\"https:\/\/parrycharity.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/meal.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"uag-image-4643\" width=\"207\" height=\"201\" title=\"meal\" loading=\"lazy\" role=\"img\"\/><figcaption class=\"uagb-image-caption\"><strong><em><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-ast-global-color-4-color\">enjoying a meal<\/mark><\/em><\/strong><\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>Each class follows a simple but powerful format: participants learn to cook a healthy, budget-friendly meal, prepare extra portions to take home, and end the session by sharing food together.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>Volunteers see the wider impact too. As one explained,<\/em> <em><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-ast-global-color-8-color\">\u201cThe cooking classes give people vital skills and a social connection; these elements improve the quality of people\u2019s lives.\u201d<\/mark><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>These classes are helping people in Bristol to cook well, eat well, and feel less isolated.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>We\u2019re excited to build on this success and expand our cookery programme in the year ahead.<\/em><\/strong>&#8220;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>It is encouraging that these classes have been so useful, we are already talking  with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.caringinbristol.org.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">Caring in Bristol<\/a> about the next project we can support<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Through our Homeless Hub programme, we made a grant to support Caring in Bristol with their Cookery Class project.
